Purpose for the job: The purpose of this role is to coordinate and support the migration of the nutrition prevention and management programme data from a paper-based system to an online digital solution supported by growing technology. UNICEF programmes increasingly leverage digital means for effective programme delivery, systems strengthening and monitoring. The T4D Specialist will work with programme and operations teams in the adaptation, assessment and integration of ICTs and digital innovation into UNICEF management of wasting and prevention programming; strengthening internal capacity to lead and support T4D related initiatives; identifying and engaging with key partners; building business relationships; applying reusable and replicable technical buildings blocks; and maximizing the potential for the scale-up and sustainability of technology and digital innovation for UNICEF programming. The T4D Specialist works closely with Programme staff and in close liaison with Regional Office ICT and T4D teams, and the Global Supply Division, as well as the Office of Innovation. The T4D Specialist will oversee the work of external consultants to roll-out an electronic nutrition record in 1,000 Nutrition facilities and partner warehouses across Somalia; and link it to UNICEF internal digital solutions and innovations.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
• Education: An advanced university degree (equivalent to a Master’s) from an accredited institution is required in Digital Transformation, Business Analysis, ICT Management, Computer Science, Innovation, Digital Development, International Development, or another relevant technical field.
*A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant field combined with 7 years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
• Work Experience: At least (5) years of relevant work experience in (insert specific work experiences required).
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
The following desirables:
• Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
• Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language.

Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.
