Position Title: Communication and Reporting Officer

Organisation : Tubsan National Centre for P/CVE

Duty Station: Mogadishu, Somalia

Supervisor: Tubsan Director General or his/her designated representative

Background
The Tubsan National Centre for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) plays a strategic role in supporting Somalia’s efforts to prevent radicalization and violent extremism. As part of its mandate, the Centre is responsible for coordinating stakeholders, implementing the National PCVE Strategy, and ensuring accountability through robust documentation and reporting.
Effective communication and structured reporting are central to ensuring transparency, coordination, and evidence-based decision-making. The Communication and Reporting Officer will serve as a key focal point for ensuring accurate documentation, stakeholder updates, institutional knowledge management, and timely reports.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Tubsan Director General or his/her designated representative, the Communication and Reporting Officer will:
Reporting and Documentation

• Develop and maintain a system for internal and external reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual).

 • Coordinate input gathering across units and partners for high-quality, evidence-based reports.

• Draft donor reports, technical briefs, meeting summaries, and background notes.

• Track program milestones, deliverables, and documentation deadlines.
Knowledge Management and Learning

 • Maintain an archive of key documents, reports, and lessons learned.

• Assist in documenting success stories, case studies, and challenges for program learning.

• Support the production of knowledge products (briefs, manuals, summaries).
Coordination Support

• Support preparation of meeting agendas, presentations, and official correspondence.

• Liaise with internal departments and partners to collect and disseminate relevant programmatic information.

• Serve as the documentation focal point during project reviews, assessments, and missions.
Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure that all reports meet quality standards and donor/partner requirements.

• Review and edit internal communications for clarity, consistency, and factual accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with confidentiality and ethical reporting standards.
Additional Responsibilities

 • Build internal staff capacity on effective documentation and reporting practices.

• Participate in coordination meetings and provide notetaking and reporting support.

 • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Experiences and Qualifications

Education:

• A bachelor degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Development Studies, International Relations, or a related field.
Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in communications, reporting, or documentation—preferably in governance, peacebuilding, or development programs.

• Experience with donor reporting, government coordination, or knowledge management is an asset.
Languages:

• Fluency in Somali and English (written and spoken).
Nationality: Somali
