Taakulo Somali Community “TAAKULO”. TAAKULO is a multifaceted non-governmental, non-profit making, non-political and nonpartisan development and humanitarian aid organization established in 2007 and headquartered in Hargeisa, Somaliland, and have regional offices throughout Somaliland, Somalia, and Somali region of Ethiopia. TAAKULO is dedicated to assisting the disadvantaged people and communities throughout Somalia and Somaliland by engaging in the development and related activities and providing emergency relief assistance, resilience building, facilitating, and promoting local community engagement and programs that emphasizes self-reliance with dignity.
TAAKULO was established to assist the vulnerable people, to whom time has tested their resilience to the tipping point, drought and famine scavenging their livelihood, war and conflict avenging their economy on the other hand. Projects are basically based on the needs of the communities in which they are implemented where the beneficiaries always take part in the planning process.
Taakulo, in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages, proposing an emergence response to assist internally displaced communities affected by the over-pressing crisis of displacement compounded with the severe protection risks, recurrent droughts, security and significant short-fall of shelter supplies, specifically at times when the El Niño[1] phenomenon is projected to severely affect Somalia & Somaliland during this year’s September to December rainy season (Deyr rainfall). Here, the proposed response implies with the distribution of shelter NFI’s, Construction household latrines, and construction of temporary shelters to deter protection risks of adolescence girls and women, children and elderly.
3. Project Purpose.
Provide immediate WASH and Protection assistance and strengthen the coping capacities of conflict effected communities in IDPs through provision of improved household latrines, Shelter and Wash NFI’s and temporary shelters houses.
Taakulo Somali Community is cordially inviting all eligible bidders to a bid for construction VIP latrines, shelter houses and NFI kits as per the below attached Billing Quantity and Technical drawing. the scope of Place is Caynabo IDPs under Caynabo district Sool region Somaliland. All interested and eligible suppliers/contractors with sound capacity and relevant experience in similar work are here by invited to fill bid document and BOQ, and bring to Taakulo Office during working hours from 8:00Am to 4:00pm, from Sunday to Thursday.
The deadline for submitting bid is Monday, 27th Nov 2023 (12:00 pm), and any bid document received later than submission deadline will not be accepted. The sealed envelope should be dropped in the tender box in Taakulo main office, in Buurta-kala jeexan, behind Ilays Secondary School.
