Terms of Reference (ToR) for Somali Women and Child Care Association: Joint Progress Reports and Success Story Documentation
Background:
The Somali Women and Child Care Association (SWCCA) is dedicated to advancing the rights and well-being of women and children in Somalia. Through empowerment and advocacy, SWCCA has been actively involved in capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the capabilities of women-led organizations (WLOs) to advocate for gender equality, participate in decision-making processes, and manage sustainable projects.
Objective:
To foster transparency, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among women's organizations, girls-led movements, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and government bodies by conducting joint progress reports on proposed policy reforms and documenting success stories, lessons learned, and best practices from capacity-building initiatives.
Scope:
Publishing Joint Progress Reports:
Identify key stakeholders involved in proposed policy reforms and reporting mechanisms.
Collect relevant data and information on progress made in implementing proposed reforms.
Organize collaborative efforts to draft comprehensive progress reports reflecting collective achievements.
Incorporate inputs and feedback from all involved parties to ensure inclusivity.
Documenting and Disseminating Success Stories:
Identify successful capacity-building initiatives undertaken by SWCCA.
Gather testimonials, case studies, and qualitative data illustrating the impact of these initiatives.
Analyze and distill key lessons learned and best practices from documented experiences.
Develop dissemination strategies to share success stories with relevant stakeholders and the wider community.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with stakeholders to collect necessary data and information within the specified timeframe.
Organize meetings or workshops to discuss progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Draft, review, and finalize joint progress reports and success story documents in consultation with stakeholders.
Ensure timely publication and dissemination of reports and success stories through appropriate channels.
Expected Deliverables:
Joint progress reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for policy reforms, along with documentation of stakeholder consultations and feedback received.
Documented success stories, case studies, or narratives highlighting the impact of SWCCA's capacity-building initiatives, along with analysis of lessons learned and best practices derived from documented experiences.
Dissemination materials, including reports, presentations, or multimedia content for sharing both progress reports and success stories.
Budget:
The consultancy firm should provide a detailed budget proposal outlining the costs associated with designing and delivering the activities, including fees, travel expenses, materials, and other relevant expenses.
Skills and Qualifications Evaluation Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Experience and expertise in conducting similar activities.
Understanding of the context and specific needs of women's rights organizations in Somalia.
Proposed methodology and approach for implementing the activities.
Qualifications and experience of key personnel involved in the project.
Cost-effectiveness and value for money.
