General Background (brief)
Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) is a humanitarian organization that strives to assist and empower communities in need, regardless of their place or origin, color or ethnic group. QRC was established in 1978 and joined to the international committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent society in the same year. QRC operates both locally and internationally and has ongoing relief and development projects in a number of countries. It specializes and provides training in International Humanitarian Law, Disaster Management and Emergency Medical Care and its current strategy covers four areas of work: Disaster Preparedness and Response, livelihoods,
Primary and secondary Health Care, WASH and Social Rehabilitation and Preserving Human Dignity, and Self Capacity-Building as a member of the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent, it abides by the seven fundamental principles of humanitarian work, which are: Humanity, Impartiality, Independence, Neutrality, Unity, Universality, and Voluntary Service.
QRCS invites bidders for supply of 1000 Hygiene Kits to three districts in Bulaburte in Hirshabelle state of Somalia Hiiran region, Kismayo district in Lower Juba region and Baidoa district in South West state under QFFD Project-Somalia. Interested contractors/Suppliers with sound capacity and relevant experiences in similar work are hereby invited to submit their bids in a separate envelope clearly marked tender reference number as above by 4:00 pm 3rd July 2024.
Bid Requirements and conditions: Bids
1. Partial documents will not be accepted.
2. Tender envelop should be sealed and stamped.
3. Financial/Quotation and technical Document to be different envelop.
4. Company profile with detailed physically verifiable contact address.
5. Most recent bank statements (Showing last 6-month transactions/ account movement and current balance)
6. Quotation Price in a separate envelope.
7. Registration certificate (Valid Commercial license)
8. Copy of Passport for Chair parson of the Company
9. All bids are to be returned in the numbered envelope provided with this Invitation for Tender.
10. Any bids returned in unsealed or incorrect envelope will be returned to the supplier immediately upon receipt.
11. Any bids received after the closing date will be returned unopened to the supplier.
12. All bids to be supplied in English using the measures and terms used in the Invitation for Tender.
13. Supplier to sign the sealed opening of the envelope after closing and before submission to QRC.
14. The lowest of any bid will not necessarily be accepted.
15. All suppliers to provide official letter of interest attached to the Bid Submission sheet attached to this request.
16. Bid Submission sheet to be signed and dated by the same signatory to the Letter of Interest.
Samples
1. Acceptance of offer will be subject to provision and inspection of samples of all products outlined in the Invitation for Bid.
2. QRC has the right to reject any samples provided that does not meet the requirements of the specifications provided.
3. All hygiene kits delivered to end sites are to match the quality and specifications of kits lists provided to QRC on signing of contract.
Delivery:
1. All products are to be delivered to the respective sites as outlined in the Invitation for Bid.
2. All taxes and duties with respect to delivery is the responsibility of the supplier.
3. QRC reserves the right to negotiate additional delivery points if so required.
4. All prices quoted to include delivery and handling to the designated QRC site as specified.
5. QRC retains the right to inspect the goods before departure to designated sites.
6. Notification of delivery date and time to be communicated to QRC Logistics Dept Mogadishu five days prior to delivery of products to designated sites.
7. QRC reserves the right to reject any goods deemed spoiled or not of the quality ordered.
8. The date of delivery will be for a period of three month start mid July 2024, so sufficient stock should be with the company to make quick delivery as per the plan provided by QRCS within the said time frame.
9. The Bidder will be responsible for the security, Transpiration, Loading, offloading until handed over to Qatar Red Crescent Staff in the Field
Payment:
1. Bank transfer or non-negotiable cheque will be the only form of payment made by QRC.
2. Payment will be made within three weeks (3) after receipt of the Deliver Report from the respective delivery points.
3. Any loss or damage of hygiene kits while in transit is the responsibility of the Supplier and will be deducted from the final payment.

The tender deadline for submission is 3rd July 2024. Any tender or Document received later than this date and time will not be accepted.
