CONSTRUCTION OF TWO GREENHOUSES IN BURAO DISTRICT, TOGDHEER REGION

Youth Volunteers for Development and Environment Conservation (YOVENCO) invites eligible and reputable contractors to submit bids for the construction of two (2) greenhouses in two IDPs in Burao District under Togdheer Region.

Background

Youth Volunteers for Development and Environment Conservation (YOVENCO) was founded on 10th March 2001. It is a non-governmental, non-profit making and non-political organization with headquarters in Berbera; sub-offices in Hargeisa & Burao. YOVENCO has been helping the community in social livelihoods development, Inclusive Education, Nutrition improvement, Child protection, Youth empowerment as well as the conservation of the environment. From its inception, YOVENCO has been collaborating with the local authorities as well as communities in Somaliland. YOVENCO has vision that a society where every citizen enjoys access to better livelihood with dignified life, human rights and social justice promoted, and climate change vulnerability reduced

Scope of Work:

The selected contractor will be responsible for:

• Construction of two (2) 9m x 40m greenhouses in Burao District
• Supply and installation of greenhouse structural materials as per the attached specifications
• Fixing of drip irrigation systems and water tanks
• Providing training on greenhouse management and irrigation systems

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Interested bidders must meet the following criteria:

1. Company Registration: Must be a legally registered company in Somaliland (Attach Certificate of Incorporation).
2. Experience: Demonstrate past experience with at least two (2) similar projects in the last 5 years.
3. Technical Capacity: Provide proof of ownership/hiring of relevant equipment and skilled personnel (site agents, masons, plumbers, etc.).
4. Financial Capacity: Provide a duly filled Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in USD.
5. Site Visit: Bidders are required to visit the site at their own cost before submitting bids.

Tender Submission Guidelines:

• All tender documents must be submitted in English.
• Prices should be quoted in USD.
• The tender must remain valid for 60 days from the closing date.
• Only one original copy of the tender should be submitted, duly signed and stamped.
• Any modifications must be initialed or stamped by the authorized signatory.
