The DRC Somalia Programme is the largest programmes in East Africa region and has been providing relief and development services since 1997. DRC is among the INGOs with the largest presence in Somalia, with country-wide programmes implemented through six main sub offices in Somaliland, Puntland, Hiran Region, Gedo Region, Bay Region and Banadir Region. Using a human rights framework, the DRC Somalia operations focuses mainly on people who are affected by displacement, including refugees, internally displaced, and migrant.
Overall purpose of the role:
The Supply Chain Team Leader will ensure efficient supply chain management and systems in accordance with DRC policies and standards. He/She will manage the supply chain team and functions (procurement, logistics processes, fleet, inventories and monitoring of assets) for Banadir, Hiran and Baidao (BHB) offices, ensuring quality support and services to all other units. The Supply Chain Team Leader will take the technical lead and capacity building for the supply chain team members in all offices under BHB and will be working closely with the Area Manager), program, and finance departments to facilitate the development of an effective, strategic supply chain function. The role will employ practical approaches in equipping the team with skills, competencies and critical tools that will maximize their performance, skills and knowledge in executing their functions to ensure the smooth running of functions to meet the program needs in line with the DRC Operations Handbook,

Contract: This position is graded as Band G-Management for qualified national staff and the terms of employment will be in accordance with DRC terms for national staff.
