JOB DESCRIPTION

1.    The overall duty of a Security Guard is to protect a company’s property, employees and visitors

2.    Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure Protect site’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

3.    Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.

4.    Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.

5.    Apprehend criminals and evict violators and report to your supervisor.

6.    Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.

7.    Report in detail any suspicious incidents to the supervisor

8.    Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter

9.    Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates

10.    Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over

11.    Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols

12.    Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities

13.    Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management

14.    Testing security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectors

Experiences and Qualifications

1.    PHYSICAL FITNESS AND WELLNESS TRAINED

2.    Demonstrates fluency in both Amharic and Oromo.

3.    Minimum certificate in security operations

4.    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

5.    Willingness and ability to work weekends if needed.

6.    Current first aid certificate

7.    Clean Criminal Record (Recent Criminal Record Certificate)
