The United Nations World Food Programme, hereinafter referred to as the “WFP,” with its Headquarters located in
Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy, is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives,
delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build
resilience by assisting almost 100 million people in around 83 countries each year. About 17,000 people work for
the organization, mostly in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor.
The WFP Somalia office seeks to establish and update the pool of pre-qualified suppliers (2026/27 shortlist)
capable of offering required services in the country and WFP invites eligible contractors to express interest in
providing the requested logistics services per this Expression of Interest (EOI).
I. DESCRIPTION OF EOI
WFP aims to establish shortlists for confirmed and potential service requirements below:
a) Landside Transport Services,
b) Clearing and Forwarding Services,
c) Cargo Handling and warehouse management Services,
d) Air Transportation Services,
e) Ocean & Multimodal Transport Services,
f) Pest Control & Fumigation Services,
H) Disposal Services.
I) Milling Services,
J) Superintendent and Inspection Services.
WFP Somalia hereby seeks to pre-qualify contractors with reliable experience and capacity to provide the logistics
in Somalia. Eligible service providers are encouraged to fill in the attached questionnaire forms, which can also be
requested by e-mail from Somalia.contracting@wfp.org or obtained from the WFP Area Office in Hargeisa,
Berbera, Garowe, Galkayo, Dhusamareb, Kismayo, Dobley and Dollow or at the Liaison Office in Mogadishu,
Airport Road, Wadajir District, opposite Hormud building.
Eligible service providers who meet the pre-qualification criteria in this EOI and are included in the relevant
2026/2027 shortlist may be invited to participate in future business opportunities based on subsequent calls for
tenders.
This EOI does not constitute a binding or enforceable agreement between the WFP and any party. It serves as a
non-binding call for eligible contractors to demonstrate an interest in partaking in future tender opportunities.
Whenever a call for tender is issued, the relevant shortlisted suppliers shall receive specific terms of reference
and more requirement details to support the submission of bids.
