The nutrition situation in Somalia indicates a varied but persistently alarming picture throughout the country. In light of weak or non-existent governance structures in parts of Somalia, nutrition response programming is mainly undertaken by UN, international and national agencies. The role, therefore, of the cluster approach mechanism to coordinate and support emergency response is vital to ensure that those most in need receive appropriate and timely assistance.
The Information Management Officer (IMO) is a core Cluster Coordination team member. The purpose of this post is to manage the collection, analysis and sharing of information that is important for the Cluster partners to make informed (evidence based) strategic decisions.

Main Responsibilities and Deliverables:
With support from the National Nutrition Cluster Coordination Team and supervision from the National Cluster Coordinator, the Nutrition Cluster IMO will support the Nutrition Cluster at the national and sub-national levels in Somalia. The incumbent will collect and organize nutrition cluster coverage and programming results and produce and share response information, showing results, gaps, and trends, with cluster partners and the Cluster Lead Agency to facilitate a timely and effective nutrition response and demonstrate results and impact. Facilitate information sharing, assessment, and survey results with cluster partners and cross clusters (with OCHA). When national and sub-national clusters exist, the post holder will guarantee effective communication, reporting, engagement, and coordination of information management duties.
