Scope of the work:
Under the direct supervision of the MNCH Health Manager and with guidance from the international consultant, in collaboration with the Director of Family Health, Child Health Manager at Federal and State Ministries of Health, and in close coordination with the broader Health section at country and field offices, as well as other relevant sections/sectors, the national consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Collating national documents for literature review and assisting the international consultant in conducting analysis through desk reviews and data gathering from key stakeholders, to identify gaps in existing national strategies and policies.
• Support FMOH and State MOH to convene and participate in regular RMNCAH taskforce meetings for Child Survival in collaboration with the lead international consultant.
• Organizing key informant interviews and facilitate consultations at national and state levels.
• Interview/Translate consultation notes and recordings from Somali to English to ensure comprehensive documentation.
• Based on the documents developed during the workshop, contribute to the development of a draft operational plan including indicators, as well assisting in report writing.
• Convene state level consultations with state RMNCAH taskforces to inform the state child survival operational plans.
• Support state ministries of health to develop State specific CSA operational plans by contextualizing the national child survival action operational plan.
• Facilitate feedback/validation/dissemination session on the final CSA operational plans with stakeholders.
