II. ORGANIZATION AND POSITION OVERVIEW
Welthungerhilfe is a German-based international non-profit humanitarian and development organization. The ultimate vision of Welthungerhilfe is to see a world without hunger and poverty. WHH has been working in four regions of Somaliland (Awdal, Maroodi-jeh, Toghdeer and Sanaag) since 2001 with multisector interventions. It secures funding mainly from the German Government external cooperation (BMZ, AA) and private donors of Germany for its interventions in Somaliland. Objectives, duties, and areas of responsibility.
III. Objectives of the position
The aim of this position is to support the smooth running of logistics and procurement functions in the area office. So, the incumbent will be based in the Buroa office but will frequently travel to other location of the project to facilitate procurement and Logistics tasks as per the programme needs.

Duties and areas of responsibility
1. Assist with the preparation of RFQ/ITT/RFP as requested by the
Logistics/Procurement officer.
2. Assist the Bid Opening sessions and ensure the relevant analysis are done as per
WHH Procurement Procedures.
3. Ensure that all supporting documents are handed over to the finance department for
affecting the payments.
4. Ensure procurement activities are all in compliance with WHH procurement policy
and donor requirements.
5. Assist in controlling the overall fleet management of WHH and ensure that logistics
policy is fully adhered to.
6. Collect fuel bills from the suppliers and support the logistics/Procurement Officer in the preparation of monthly fuel analysis.
7. Ensure the travel authorizations for the field missions are timely submitted.
8. Facilitate and Merge field missions where possible so as to ensure proper use of vehicle allocation.
9. Assist with the weekly travel plan preparation and inform drivers of their respective missions.
10. Ensure that field missions are aligned with travel plans and that adjustments have been approved.
11. Collect Log sheets, waivers, and documents from drivers and ensure they're neat and well-prepared.
12. Provide required data in the fleet management software and ensure drivers use this platform.
13. Contact drivers on a daily basis for their whereabouts and use Geotab-tracker software.
14. Assist with vehicle inspections, oil/filter replacements, track past maintenance, and record them accordingly.
15. Assist with the follow-up fuel and maintenance bills on a monthly basis.
16. Assist the vehicle maintenance tracker is up to date.
17. Provide a robust filing system of logistics-related documentation.
18. Support any other activity assigned by your immediate supervisor.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge/ Qualifications
1.1 Professional/ formal qualification
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, Commerce, or related field.
1.2 Job-related professional experience:
At least 3 years of professional experience in Logistics and Procurement from
INGOs, Private companies, or similar with similar roles.

Experience in procurement process, fleet management, warehousing & asset
management, and market research.
Excellent coordination and organizational skills, including the ability to work
under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy is required in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365
Qualified candidates from project target location have an added advantage
