Specific Responsibilities:
Participate in activity planning, coordination and execution of Livelihoods activities in increasing access to self-employment, wage employment and other livelihood income source, establishment of vulnerable households and constant market demand monitoring.
Fully responsible for the operational activities of Food Security and Livelihood such as Social Safety Net cash transfer, market price monitoring, distribution of vouchers and redemption of vouchers.
Regularly monitor and review the overall commodity movements such as food deliveries, storage, transport and distribution at site, verifying if the amount received have been properly recorded as suitable, damaged or suspected to be damaged.
Responsible for preparation of cash transfer payment sheet, Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) with the support of M&E and making sure beneficiaries receive their entitlements.
Contribute/lead beneficiaries selection, registration and verification in a transparent manner.
Lead/conduct community mobilization/consultation meetings and beneficiaries selection.
Organize and conduct Income Generation Activity (IGA) trainings, Village Saving and Loan Association (VSLA) and business plan development.
Ensures LFS projects addresses and considers gender equality, disability and minority inclusions.
Create or reactivate Community Resilience Committees, train on beneficiaries selection criteria for vulnerable beneficiaries.
Assist in the implementation of plans of action, review achievement and constraints, and provide feedback accordingly.
Represent NRC in sectoral and cluster meetings for Livelihoods projects.
Ensure that all documentation of projects is promptly and correctly filed and archived as necessary.
Carryout weekly/monthly reports and assessments appropriately.
Lead the community sensitization on cash based social transfers eligibility criteria and service referrals
Any other work assigned by line manager.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a university degree preferably in agriculture, nutrition, social sciences, development studies with at least minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience especially livelihoods programming
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts and Training in Purchasing and Supplies preferred.
Formal training or certification in grievance handling, mediation, or alternative dispute resolution
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
