About the Organization
Muslim Hands is an international humanitarian organization committed to achieving its vision of caring the poor and the most vulnerable Somalis and communities in other countries in the world where Muslim Hands works. Our goal is to provide vulnerable Somali communities with access to basic needs which include Livelihoods, Health care services, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Education and other humanitarian services.
About the Project
The project will address the multifaceted challenges faced by displaced agro-pastoral communities in the Sanaag and Togdheer regions through a comprehensive approach that integrates immediate relief with sustainable solutions for resettlement and rehabilitation.
Central to the project's strategy is The Restocking of Livestock, particularly goats and sheep, for families that have lost their animals due to displacement and climate-related shocks. This initiative not only restores essential livelihood assets but also provides veterinary training and ongoing support to ensure the health and productivity of the livestock. Concurrently, livelihood restoration efforts encompass agricultural support, including the provision of seeds, tools, and training in sustainable farming practices. This holistic approach aims to rebuild economic stability and enhance resilience against future environmental challenges.
