1. The Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) Phase 3 aims to strengthen the climate resilience of vulnerable communities in Somaliland while creating increased income and job opportunities,
   thereby helping to reduce poverty. SDF3’s ambitions are aligned with NDP3 and reflect the priorities set out in Somaliland Vision 2030.
2. The SDF has allocated funds to the Ministry of Water Resources Development for the implementation of the Burao Water Supply System Expansion. As a part of this project, MoWRD intends to use parts of these funds for the Procurement of Contractors for Drilling and Development of Boreholes in Burao City, identified as ICB No. P103-008. The Works will be implemented in two separate lots/contracts:
   • Lot 1: Drilling and Development of Production Boreholes in the Existing Wellfield.
   • Lot 2: Drilling and Development of Exploratory Boreholes in Transect DD.
3. The Somaliland Development Fund Secretariat now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Drilling and Replacement Boreholes in Burao City as described in detail the bidding documents.
4. Bidding will be in accordance with the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the SDF procurement manual which can be found at the SDF website via the link below:
   https://www.somalilanddevelopmentfund.org/about-the-sdf and is open to all eligible bidders.
