Muslim Hands is an international humanitarian organization committed to achieving its vision of caring the poor and the most vulnerable Somalis and communities in other countries in the world where Muslim Hands works. Our goal is to provide vulnerable Somali communities with access to basic needs which include Livelihoods, Health care services, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Education and other humanitarian services.
About the project:
Togdheer and Sanaag and the surrounding eastern parts of Somaliland face acute challenges in accessing safe and affordable drinking water. High salinity levels, water scarcity, and dependence on expensive water trucking have left communities vulnerable to waterborne diseases and inadequate sanitation. This project proposes the installation of solar-powered desalination units to convert hard water into safe drinking water, addressing critical gaps in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services while leveraging sustainable and innovative technology.
