Youth Volunteers for Development and Environment Conservation (YOVENCO) is a reputable local organization with operational offices in the Togdheer, Hargeisa, and Sahil regions. YOVENCO has extensive experience in child protection, emergency interventions, and livelihood support. Previous engagements include case management, family tracing and reunification, distribution of non-food items, and the establishment and management of child-friendly spaces in collaboration with the UN and international NGOs.
In addition, YOVENCO has successfully implemented various livelihood, emergency, and lifesaving projects across all six regions of Somaliland, including cash transfers and livestock re-stocking. Currently, in partnership with Plan International, YOVENCO is implementing the ‘Enhanced Food Security and Child Protection Response Mechanisms for Drought-Affected Populations in Somaliland’ project, targeting the most vulnerable groups—particularly women and girls—in three IDP camps in Burao (Aqilyare, Barwaaqo, and Ali Husien).
YOVENCO invites qualified suppliers to submit bids for the supply of indigenous poultry and poultry feed. The procurement aims to improve food security and livelihood support for targeted households in the three IDP camps in Burao (Aqilyare, Barwaaqo, and Ali Hussein).
The selected supplier shall provide indigenous poultry together with sufficient chicken feed to support the poultry for a period of two (2) months after distribution.
Your offer must clearly indicate the following:
Unit price as per the Request for Quotation (Annex II)
Cost and quantity specification of poultry feed for two months
Validity period of the offer
Delivery time
Currency of the offer should preferably be in US Dollars.
YOVENCO reserves the right to accept the whole or part of the offer.

Poultry must be local breeds within Somaliland
Pullets and cockerels must be healthy, productive, with good body condition, free from injuries, wounds, and defects, and must not be de-peaked
Indigenous pullets must be aged between 4–5 months
Cockerels must be aged between 8–10 months
All poultry will undergo a clinical inspection by a Veterinary/Livestock Project Officer at delivery; unfit poultry will be rejected
Supplier must provide a certificate of health inspection issued by the regional veterinary officer upon delivery
Supplier is responsible for transport, loading/unloading, and delivery to the identified sites
Supplier must provide sufficient and appropriate poultry feed to sustain the supplied chickens for a minimum period of two (2) months
Poultry feed must be clean, dry, safe for poultry consumption, and properly packaged
The supplier shall provide poultry feed adequate for all distributed poultry for a duration of two (2) months for all targeted households.
