POST: Security Guard

LOCATION: HARGEISA & BERBERA

DURATION: TILL 30 OCT 2025 (POSSIBILITY FOR EXTENSION)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The overall duty of a Security Guard is to protect a company’s property, employees, and visitors

Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure Protect the site’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.

Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.

Apprehend criminals evict violators and report to your supervisor.

Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.

Report in detail any suspicious incidents to the supervisor

Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter

Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates

Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over

Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols

Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities

Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management

Testing security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectors

Experiences and Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL FITNESS AND WELL SECURITY TRAINED

Minimum certificate in security operations

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Willingness and ability to work weekends if needed.

Current first aid certificate
