REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR TRANSLATION OF MIS- AND DISINFORMATION COURSE TO SOMALI LANGUAGE

PROJECT OVERVIEW
BBC Media Action is looking for experienced translators to translate an online course from English to Somali.
This is part of a wider projected implemented in collaboration with Free Press Unlimited called ‘Building an Independent, Sustainable Media Sector and Strengthening Resilience to Disinformation in Somalia’, funded by European Union.
The overall objective is to promote freedom of expression and freedom of information in Somalia with a specific focus on media freedom and development.
This online course is an introduction to mis- and disinformation, and aims to equip journalists with knowledge, tools and practical tips to stop the spread of false information.
SCOPE OF WORK
TIMEFRAME
The assignment will take no more than 20 working days and we are looking to start the work as soon as possible.
DELIVERABLES
After completing the first draft within 15 working days, the consultant(s) will produce the Somali version in electronic format for BBC Media Action’s review. The consultant is then responsible for incorporating feedback on the draft version and submitting a final electronic version to BBC Media Action within 5 working days of receiving feedback.
LOCATION
The consultancy will take place remotely.

Applicants must submit the names and contact details of three referees for which you/your agency has carried out similar work.
