REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTREST FOR PROVISION OF LEGAL SERVICES FOR SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL IN SOMALIA

Save the Children has been working in Somalia for more than 60 years. The Country Office has seen massive growth in 2017 because of the drought response and now has over 400 staff In Puntland and southern states. Offices in this two areas are located at  Mogadishu, Baidoa, Beledweyne, Kismayo, Adado, dhobley, Garowe, galkayo,qardho and Bossaso

Scope of Service 

Save the Children International is inviting interested registered/licenced law firms to indicate their interest in providing the above Services. Interested interested registered/licenced law firms and individual counsel should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services

The shortlisting criteria will be as follows:

1. Core business: the legal firm should be in the field at least for the last 5-7 years.
2. Experience of services in an environment similar to the one Save the Children international operates (INGO, UN/World bank /AFDB or LNGOs). Please provide firms profile including CVs of key legal counsel.
3. Firm’s valid license and tax compliance certificate

1. At least two two contracts for similar assignment from other clients in the same field as Save the Children.

1. Technical proposals detailing how the job will be carried out.

1. Bank statements of the firm for the last 12 months.

1. Financial proposal detailing different costs, such as monthly retention fee, representation fee, policy review fee.

Duration for the Contract 

The duration will be for a performance based renewable period of 1 year from the effective date of the contract
