Job Description

BACKGROUND

Windle International Somalia (WISOM) is an International Non-Governmental organization with oversight support and coordination by the regional office in Nairobi. WISOM was founded with the belief that good education was essential if Africa was to meet the challenges it faced. Within, its strategic pillar, Windle International Somalia focus to support Education and Training, Resilience, Research and Innovation, Advocacy and System Strengthening.

WISOM is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Project Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assist in the development of project plans and execution of deliverables as per the approved WP.
  • The Project Officer will ensure that all tasks are well coordinated and aligned with the project’s objectives.
  • Track the progress of the project by monitoring performance in line with project performance matrix while working closely with MEARL Unit.
  • The Project Officer prepares regular reports, streps and updates for stakeholders, highlighting key developments, risks, and any adjustments required.
  • Coordinate day to day community awareness and sensitization session
  • Analysis stakeholders’ effort and compile project success stories
  • Represent the organization in forums and technical working groups.
  • Represent the project manager.

Experiences and Qualifications

  • Degree in Project Management or Social science or a related field.
  • Previous at least 3 years’ experience in project day to day implementation.
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
