JOB CONTEXT:
HI has been present in Kenya since 1992 and is part of the East African Regional Program, including Rwanda and Uganda. The Kenya operations include Health and Rehabilitation, Social and Economic Inclusion, Inclusive Education, Protection, and Inclusive Humanitarian Action. Projects are within the Dadaab Refugee Camp and host communities in Garissa Region, Kakuma Refugee Camp & Kalobeyei Settlement Scheme, Turkana West Region, and greater Nairobi.
TheImprove access to physical rehabilitation services in the Dadaab refugee complex, Kenya, Dadaab refugee camps and host communities projectaimsto improve access to physical rehabilitation services for women, men, girls, and boys with disabilities in four rehabilitation Centres within the Dadaab refugee complex. By the end of the project, the targeted beneficiaries will have received comprehensive rehabilitation services, leading to increased functional independence and improved access to another humanitarian services.
Under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager, he/she supports the identification, and referral of persons with disabilities for functional rehabilitation services. She/he will additionally provide assistive devices that will ensure that individuals actively use these devices to enhance their mobility and daily functioning
YOUR MISSION:
Key role:
Responsibility 1: Delivery of direct services to people with Disability in the refugee camp with Community Rehabilitation Workers following an integrated approach – 40%
Responsibility 2: Support the sustainability of learning and skills to the community rehabilitation workers and partners – 25%
Responsibility 3: Coordination and collaboration with partners in quality service delivery and disability inclusion. –15%
Responsibility 4: Contribute to HI project quality standards – 20%
