Job summary:
The Obs & Gynecology Doctor oversees all activities within the SOS Baidoa District Hospital in order to achieve the highest level of medical care possible. The incumbent supervises co-ordinates and oversees the daily work of other medical staff. In addition, s/he maintains a close involvement with patient health-care, and personally attends to more complex cases referred by the nurses.
Job Responsibilities:
Main duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Take History, examination, investigation, resuscitation, management and care of newborn’s
Ø Do Triaging, assessment, admission and management of acutely ill children in the emergency ward
Ø Conduct ward rounds.
Ø Perform emergency cesarean section(C/Section) and gynecological cases if needed.
Ø Perform Referral services for complicated cases.
Ø Do History taking, assessment, investigation and management of children attending outpatient department.
Ø Triaging, assessment, admission, care and management of under-fives with moderate to severe acute malnutrition
Ø Do Assessment, investigation, classification and management of mild, moderate and sever forms of different diseases
Ø Do Management and reporting of common communicable diseases
Ø Provide Health education to clients and communities.
Ø Reviewing frequently severe cases who admitted in the wards of Obs & Gynocology or in the pediatric units.
Ø Attending night shifts in providing patient care.
Ø Consult with doctor in charge for all complicated cases and the cases required immediate consultation.
Ø Flexibility, good character is mandatory.
Ø Acts as the in charge of both the maternity and Operation theatre and oversees all activities including medical treatment and medical administration.
Ø Perform any other reasonable task as assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
