Lifeline-Gedo (LLG) is a Humanitarian, Non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to responding to humanitarian emergences through provision of life-saving support mechanisms in partnership with national and international role players, promoting peace and stability, advocate against all kinds of violence, initiate long term and short-term development projects. LLG prioritizes to identify the most appropriate targets for their projects where the poorest communities are suffering most.

2. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive MEAL Coordinator responsible for development and implementation of M&E tools and systems in our programs area in Gedo region and in Mogadishu Somalia, ensuring timeliness and quality of implementation. The position will be based in Dolow with occasional travel to programmes area Burdhuubo, Belethawa, Bardhere, Elwak and Mogadishu and will involve supporting the efficient of MEAL related work.
Reporting to program quality Manager to set up and implement appropriate (M&E) systems and tools in line with donor-approved log frames in Emergency, Durable Solutions and Resilience programming,
3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Main duties &
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of MEAL workplans, indicators, and performance tracking systems across AARAN and other Lifeline Gedo programmes in line with donor and organizational requirements.
2. Work closely with the Programme Quality Manager and programme teams to establish and maintain robust MEAL systems and tools aligned with multiple project logframes, results frameworks, and consortium standards (including AARAN and other partnerships).
3. Ensure that data collection methodologies and tools are context-appropriate and adaptable across different project locations, including hard-to-reach and insecure operational areas.
4. Develop and maintain standardized forms, tools, databases, and dashboards for data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting across all LLG programmes.
5. Strengthen the capacity of programme and field teams through regular training and mentoring on MEAL systems, data collection, data quality, reporting, and learning practices.
6. Conduct regular field monitoring visits across project sites and participate in programme reviews, coordination meetings, and consortium-level engagements where required.
7. Ensure timely data analysis and sharing of findings with the Programme Quality Manager and programme teams in clear, accessible formats to support adaptive management and evidence-based decision-making.
8. Support programme teams in designing and reviewing targeting strategies, ensuring interventions reach intended beneficiaries transparently and effectively across all projects.
9. Coordinate and support baseline, endline, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), outcome monitoring, and evaluations across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational standards.
10. Support integration of MEAL systems across programmes to strengthen linkages between planning, monitoring, accountability, evaluation, and learning.
11. Lead documentation of lessons learned, best practices, case studies, and field evidence across projects to inform programme design and strategic planning.
12. Conduct both qualitative and quantitative monitoring to assess programme quality, relevance, and impact across sectors (WASH, Health, Livelihoods, etc.).
13. Support preparation of internal and donor reports, including indicator tracking tables, PDM reports, learning briefs, and consortium reporting requirements.
14. Provide technical support to programme managers and coordinators in developing results frameworks, logframes, and monitoring plans for new and ongoing projects.
15. Contribute to development of Terms of Reference (ToRs) for assessments, evaluations, and studies, and support coordination with external consultants where required.
16. Track implementation of recommendations from monitoring, evaluations, audits, and learning exercises, ensuring follow-up actions are implemented.
17. Strengthen accountability to affected populations through effective feedback and complaint response mechanisms across all LLG interventions.
18. Ensure adherence to Lifeline Gedo policies, safeguarding standards, Code of Conduct, and the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) across all programmes.
19. Promote data quality, confidentiality, ethical data management, and responsible use of information across all projects.
20. Perform any other duties assigned by the Programme Quality Manager or senior management in support of LLG programme quality and accountability.
· Degree in MEAL related courses.
· Proven experience in humanitarian or development programs, particularly in particularly monitoring and Evaluation for more than Five years.
· Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somali.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural settings.
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new software systems as required.
