Tender Description

World Vision Somaliland is implementing a pilot project named ICSA Innovation project in Gebiley district. The aim of this project is to innovate and sustain climate-smart agriculture through hydroponic production and efficient energy technologies to boost food & nutrition security and build resilience of vulnerable children, women and youth in Gabiley district, Somaliland. The pilot project organized 50 participants in 2 groups each with twenty-five members. Each group will be supported promising hydroponic technology for production of vegetables and livestock fodder with a set of hydroponic unit equipment and Greenhouse.

Therefore, Word vision invites local Suppliers with proven experience of establishment of greenhouse and provision of hydroponic technology for production of vegetables and livestock fodder in Ceelginiiseed village, Gebiley district. Thus, to tender for the supply of hydroponic equipment, greenhouse materials and establishment of greenhouse in the designated farmland in Ceelginiised village, the conditions and technical requirements is stated in this invitation at the below Section A:

Important note:

Offers transmitted in any other manner than those indicated above will not be considered.

Your offer should clearly indicate:

• Unit price of items as per the Bill of Quantity (BoQ), drawings and specifications of items in Annex I.
• Summary costs of per section as per the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in Annex II.
• Offer Price should be net after deduction. Applicable Taxes must be clearly stipulated and separated from the base costs.
• Transport cost of all materials to the farm site in Ceelginiiseed village, Gebiley district.
• Validity of the offer.
• Delivery time of all materials and time of construction of greenhouse/setup of hydroponics.

Information to bidders:

1. The tender should be submitted at latest by 26th January 2025 @ 04:00 PM
2. Currency of offer should preferably be in US Dollars, but in case local currency is offered, the comparison of offers will be based on the prevailing rate of exchange.
3. World Vision reserves the right to accept the whole or part of your offer.
4. World Vision Somaliland reserves the right to accept or reject any application (bid), and is not bound to give reasons for its decisions. Canvassing or giving false information will lead to automatic disqualification.

SECTION A: EVALUATION CRITERIA

1. Mandatory Requirements:
2. Provide copy of valid certificate/license of business registration.
3. Provide copy of a valid tax clearance of business.
4. Technical Requirements:

•  References from previous customers (at least two and maximum 5 customers)

• Proven experience of similar work of supply of hydroponic equipment, greenhouse materials and establishment of greenhouse in the field for LNGO/INGO/Private farm owners. Provide copy of contracts, Purchase Orders (PO), framework agreements/service provision agreements etc.

• Experienced technical staff qualified for establishment of hydroponic equipment and construction of greenhouse. Provide list of staff and their CVs and qualifications.

•  Capability statement supported by reports/evidence photos of previous similar work.

• The supplier is responsible for the transport and uploading/offloading of all materials of hydroponic equipment, seeds, greenhouse materials and should deliver at the designated farm site in Ceelginiiseed village.

• The supplier is responsible for the establishment of hydroponic equipment and construction of greenhouses at the designated farm site in Ceelginiiseed village.
