DRC has been operating in Somalia since 1998 using a protection of human rights framework. Somalia is experiencing a devastating humanitarian crisis, with nearly 80% of the population in need of some form of humanitarian assistance. DRC in Somalia is scaling up the operation in emergency response through an integrated approach accessing hard to reach populations.
Overall purpose of the role
Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Finance Coordinator will be the finance focal point for budgeting & Financial Reporting and Master Budget preparation and monitoring. The position will in addition give backstopping support to the accounting component of the department as need arises. The Finance Coordinator ensures compliance with donor regulations as well as DRC internal policies and procedures and provides support to the program management teams as require.

Availability: 1st May 2024
Duty station: This position is based in Hargeisa, with frequent travel to all locations in Somalia.
