World Vision, in partnership with the African Development Bank (AFDB) through the ACCF project, is committed to enhancing agricultural practices in Garowe and Eyl districts by establishing greenhouses specifically for women and youth. This initiative aims to not only introduce innovative agricultural technologies but also foster a deeper appreciation for sustainable practices among the local communities.
By setting up these greenhouses, we hope to demonstrate the tangible benefits of controlled environment agriculture, which can significantly boost productivity and contribute to improved food security. In addition, the project will encourage the formation of agro-pastoral field school groups that empower community members to take personal initiative and invest in these technologies.
Through education and hands-on experience, participants will be better equipped to adopt these practices independently, ultimately leading to enhanced food production and livelihood stability for the target communities.
