BACKGROUND:
Windle International Somalia (WISOM) is an International Non-Governmental organization with oversight support and coordination by regional office in Nairobi. Windle was founded with the belief that good education was essential if Africa was to meet the challenges it faced. Windle International Somalia implements Education, Trainings and Integrated programme including WASH, Climate Adaptation and Peace Building
In our commitment to enhance access to quality education and training in leu of “Education Transform society” we support refugees, asylum seekers, refugee returnee, internally displaced and vulnerable students throughout Somalia. Windle International Somalia with
funding from USAID implements “Accelerated Education Activities (AEA)” aimed at providing an improved learning outcomes in foundational skills areas (literacy, numeracy and social emotional learning) through the deliver of quality, safe, and inclusive instruction on foundational skills by the teachers.
WISOM is seeking a suitable candidate(s) for the Enumerator position.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Enumerator is responsible for various tasks and duties related to the data collection process. These include.
· Follow the guideline on sampling and procedure of data entry of examination result. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the examination result into the spread sheet.
· Input data into spreadsheets accurately.
· Verify the correctness of the entered data by cross-referencing with original sources.
· Maintain the confidentiality of the examination’ results and personal information.
· Follow data protection regulations and ethical guidelines.
· Conduct checks to identify and correct errors in the data.
· Ensure consistency and reliability in the data entry
· Work with Education Project Officer and Education Specialist to facilitate data entry reporting.
· Communicate any issues or challenges encountered during the data entry
Minimum of a degree in education, statistics, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
· Previous experience in data entry and data management.
· Familiarity with educational systems and examination processes.
· Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and data management software.
· Basic understanding of database management systems.
· Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and reporting.
· Understanding of data protection laws and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
· Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in data.
· Strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines.
