Job Summary
The Business Development and Partnership Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and business opportunities that align with the organization's mission and goals. This role requires a proactive individual with a solid background in media development, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in partnership management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnership Development
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners, including non-profits, government agencies, private sector companies, and academic institutions.
- Develop and implement partnership strategies that enhance the organization’s reach and impact.
2. Business Development
- Research and analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and revenue streams.
- Prepare and present proposals to stakeholders and potential partners, showcasing the organization's value and impact.
3. Relationship Management
- Maintain and strengthen existing partnerships through regular communication and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and fulfilment of partnership agreements.
4. Networking and Representation
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote partnerships and opportunities.
- Build a network of contacts within the sector and related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or a related role, preferably within the media or non-profit sector.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and managing strategic partnerships.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with media development issues and the capacity to articulate the organization's mission and impact effectively.
