Temporary HR/ADMIN Officer -Maternity cover  Open to Somali Nationals Only

Role Dimensions:

Save the Children operates across all zones in Somalia/Somaliland and currently has three main area offices and additional 11 field offices. Programmatically Somalia is a large Country Office with more than $100million annual budget turnover, more than 70 active awards at any time and over 1500 staff. 

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Temporary HR and Admin Officer will be responsible in providing quality and efficient HR/ADMIN support services and He/she will ensure efficient operations and procedures at the Puntland Area office in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This will include management and implementation of SCI’s HR policy and HR support to staff and Managers.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: HR/ADMIN MANAGER

Staff directly reporting to this post: None

Experiences and Qualifications

  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR , economics or related. or diploma with relevant professional experience
  • Previous experience of managing a similar personal administrative work.
  • Minimum 2 years proven work experience in administration and personal management within a busy working environment such as private company or INGOs 
  • Good English language command.
  • Good computer and writing skills.
  • Supportive personnel management style.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • High level of integrity and ability to work as part of a professional team
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines Proven ability to handle challenging work load
  • Cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills;
  • Commitment to Save the Children values
