Project Description
The Mustaqbaldoon II project aims to promote the realization of basic human rights and enhance employment opportunities for marginalized youth. Building on the achievements of the previous project, it focuses on helping youth transition from unhealthy coping mechanisms to positive survival strategies that enable them to succeed as employees and lead independent lives.
The project continues to develop and implement an on-the-job learning model that directly supports employment and entrepreneurship. Target groups include youth from internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons with disabilities (PwDs), single mothers, and, where possible, homeless individuals and prisoners, both within and outside Hargeisa.
DF and its partner organization, Somaliland Y-PEER, will continue mutual capacity-building efforts to strengthen professional youth work. At the outset, a feasibility study will be conducted to map potential target groups and identify the most effective ways to support them.
Mustaqbaldoon II also seeks to empower TVET graduates by providing startup kits and essential tools to facilitate small business creation and self-employment. Qualified suppliers are invited to submit bids for the supply and delivery of tools aligned with TVET skill areas.
The objective of this procurement is to acquire high-quality, durable, and market-relevant tools that will enable TVET graduates to successfully establish small businesses and engage in sustainable income-generating activities.
