CONTEXT
To mobilize resources for the implementation of Oxfam’s in Somalia Country Strategy and increase the impact on Oxfam on the lives of men and women facing poverty and injustice. To develop and maintain excellent relations with institutional and non-institutional donors and ensure the quality of Oxfam’s project in Somalia.
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
We are seeking an outstanding professional who has the ability to bring together Oxfam staff, partner organisations and other key stakeholders in order to mobilize resources to fund the country programme. The Funding Coordinator (FC) will work under the supervision of the Country Funding Coordinator (CFC) to establish, implement and maintain the country funding strategy to increase Oxfam’s income. The FC will contribute towards the development and implementation of resource mobilization strategies to establish strategic partnerships with institutional donors, partners and other key stakeholders to identify and develop new funding opportunities for the Country Programme. The FC will support the relevant teams by planning, coordination, securing and management of restricted and restricted funds, leading on proposal development that reflect Oxfam Somalia’s priorities and its particular value added; developing and maintaining good
relationships with donors in Somalia and Oxfam affiliates; ensuring strong contract management and overall donor compliance including efficient delivery of reporting requirements.
