BACKGROUND:

ALIGHT Horn of Africa has been working in Somaliland since 2013, and has a permanent presence in Hargeisa, with an overall objective to enhance protection and promote the rights of displaced persons in Humanitarian need by improving and seeking durable solutions by providing primary health care, protection, training and skill transfer, income generating projects and other related services to innocent people uprooted by war and civil conflict. ALIGHT Horn of Africa provides assistance to more than million refugees, displaced persons, returnees, and host communities where possible.
ALIGHT Horn of Africa cordially invites Interested and eligible respective bidders with sound capacity and relevant experience in similar work for the Provision and Distribution of Emergency Water Trucking Services, Water Bladders, and Water Purification Tablets in Maroodi Jeex Region in Maroodijeex Region as per the terms and conditions provided in this ITT and the Provided BOQ and deigns.
SCOPE OF WORK:
ALIGHT is implementing water trucking interventions for 1,244 Households (7,464 people) across six target villages. The contractor is expected to deliver safe water, meeting the following standards:
Quantity: Minimum 7.5 liters/person/day for IDPs and non-drought emergency settings, 210 Tankers (8,000L capacity) delivered over 30 days.
Quality: Turbidity < 5 NTU; Fecal coliform (E. coli): 0 cfu/100 ml; pH 6.5–8.5; Chlorination (FRC) 0.5 mg/L.
Locations: Dacarta, Faraweyne, Gumar, Balicabane, Salahley, and Bandarwanag.
Supplies: Provision of 1,000L water bladders (with tap stands) and NaDCC Water Purification
All delivered water must be clear, odorless, and no objectionable taste; ALIGHT will provide continuous supervision, and any water failing these benchmarks must be re-trucked with qualifying water at the contractor's expense.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Valid Business Registration & License (Somaliland Government).
Tax Clearance Certificate.
Most recent Bank Statements.
Company Profile with verifiable physical address.
Evidence of Past Experience: (At least 3 copies of LPOs and Contracts for similar WASH/Water Trucking projects.).
Formal Recommendation Letters: Provision of at least three (3) signed and stamped recommendation letters from previous international NGOs or UN agencies for successfully completed water trucking or WASH-related projects.
Detailed Price Estimate (Must be submitted using the ALIGHT BoQ/Scope of Work format on the company’s official letterhead).
Technical Workplan and Lead Time for mobilization and delivery on all sites.
Quote envelope should be sealed with the reference and must stamped.
Mode of Payment.
