Tender Description

World Vision Somaliland is implementing a pilot project named ICSA Innovation project in Gebiley district. The aim of this project is to innovate and sustain climate-smart agriculture through hydroponic production and efficient energy technologies to boost food & nutrition security and build resilience of vulnerable children, women and youth in Gabiley district, Somaliland. The pilot project organized 50 participants in 2 groups each with twenty-five members. Each group will be supported set of solar powered egg incubation unit and some starter improved indigenous poultry eggs.

The two groups will raise improved indigenous chicken through own incubation and hatching of eggs and subsequent brooding of chicks by leveraging solar-powered incubators, coupled with efficient production of diverse vegetables to address issues of household food insecurity and malnutrition using cost-effective efficient and easily scalable hydroponic technologies.

Therefore, Word vision invites local Suppliers to tender for the supply of Automatic 192 egg incubator with both AC/DC inputs and Automatic Poultry Electric Brooder 500 chick’s capacity, the conditions and technical requirements is stated in this invitation at the below Section A:

Important note:

Offers transmitted in any other manner than those indicated above will not be considered.

Your offer should clearly indicate:

• Unit price of items as per the below the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and specifications of items in Annex I.
• Offer Price should be net after deduction. Applicable Taxes must be clearly stipulated and separated from the base costs.
• Installation and setup service cost at project site (Ceelginiised village).
• Validity of the offer.
• Delivery time.

Information to bidders:

1. The tender should be submitted at latest by 9th February 2025 @ 04:00 PM
2. Currency of offer should preferably be in US Dollars, but in case local currency is offered, the comparison of offers will be based on the prevailing rate of exchange.
3. World Vision reserves the right to accept the whole or part of your offer.
4. World Vision Somaliland reserves the right to accept or reject any application (bid), and is not bound to give reasons for its decisions. Canvassing or giving false information will lead to automatic disqualification.
