Lifeline-Gedo (LLG) is a Humanitarian, Non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to responding to humanitarian emergences through provision of life-saving support mechanisms in partnership with national and international role players, promoting peace and stability, advocate against all kinds of violence, initiate long term and short-term development projects. 2. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE
The Finance Coordinator will oversee the financial management and operations of the AARAN Project under the AARAN programme in Belet-Hawo and Bardere districts, ensuring sound financial stewardship and full compliance with donor and organizational requirements. The role will be responsible for managing the finance team, including the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, to maintain accurate and timely financial records, support project implementation, and ensure adherence to LLG, AARAN and donor financial policies and procedures. The Finance Coordinator will lead budgeting, financial planning, and analysis for the AARAN project, ensuring effective utilization of resources in line with approved budgets and workplans, while supporting timely and accurate donor reporting. Additionally, the role will collaborate closely with programme teams to strengthen financial controls, support cash-based programming, and ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in all financial processes, contributing to the successful delivery of resilience interventions for vulnerable communities in Belet-Hawo and Bardere.

1. Provide overall leadership and oversight of all financial operations across the organization, ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
2. Lead the development, consolidation, and monitoring of organizational and project budgets aligned with programme priorities.
3. Track budget performance and closely monitor burn rates across all grants, ensuring timely and effective utilization of funds.
4. Work closely with grant owners and programme teams to ensure financial plans are aligned with implementation progress and timelines.
5. Alert senior management on low burn rates, delays, or financial risks, and recommend corrective actions.
6. Provide strategic financial advice to the Executive Director (ED) and Senior Management Team (SMT) on risks, trends, and potential issues affecting programme delivery.
7. Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting in line with organizational policies, donor requirements, and statutory regulations.
8. Review and approve all financial reports and documentation before submission to donors, auditors, and external stakeholders.
9. Establish and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance.
10. Ensure full compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, and financial procedures.
11. Lead and coordinate all internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and proper documentation.
12. Follow up on the implementation of audit findings and recommendations, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
13. Lead, supervise, and build the capacity of the finance team, ensuring strong performance and accountability.
14. Train and support programme staff on financial management, compliance, and reporting requirements to strengthen cross-functional understanding.
15. Strengthening financial systems, including ERP and digital tools, ensure proper documentation and audit-ready records AARAN, and demonstrate flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the line manager, including working extended hours to meet critical donor deadlines when required.
