Terms of Reference (ToR) for National Consultant for Training Geographic Information System ("GIS") Training in Baidoa, Southwest State of Somalia.

Gargaar Relief Development Organization (GREDO) is a local non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian and development organization with its Headquarters in Baidoa and have sub-offices across south central Somalia initiated in December 1992 by a group of Somali intellectuals and well-wishers responding to a need. GREDO focuses on aspects of emergency, humanitarian responses and development/resilience programmes.
GREDO would like to engage your services of a consultant to undertake GIS training in Baidoa Somalia. As a consultant you will train GIS to a 15 people.
Further, you are to provide QGIS and GPS handsets for demonstrations to support this work.
The actual course will be delivered in 5 days. The number of estimated hours required to complete the course is 40 hours, which means a workload of 8 hours on average per day.

GREDO seeks to invite qualified consultants/firms who meet the following requirements to submit their detailed narrative and financial proposal on how to undertake the assignment.
The training is planned during 3rd week of June at 2024 (20th to 25th June 2024) with the exception of Friday weekend.
At the end of the training, participants will be rewarded with certificates of their participation, training presentation and a folder full training packages as well help them gain knowledge and skills they need to safeguard children and describes the common types of abuse as well as how to recognize them and also they will be able to demonstrate their understanding of safe programming principles and apply them effectively in their work.
