1. The Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) Phase 3 aims to strengthen the climate resilience of
   vulnerable communities in Somaliland while creating increased income and  job opportunities, thereby
   helping to reduce poverty. SDF3’s ambitions are aligned with NDP3 and reflect the priorities set out
   in Somaliland Vision 2030.
2. The SDF has allocated funds to the Ministry of Agriculture Development (MoAD) for the
   implementation of the Climate Smart Agriculture in Sanaag Project. As part of this project, MoAD
   intends to procure Soil and Water Conservation and Irrigation Works for Erigavo and El Afweine
   Districts, Sanaag Region. The Works will be carried out in four (04) separate lots/contracts:
   • Lot 1: Erigavo Soil and Water Conservation Works – Gully Rehabilitation and Riverbank
   Protection Works in Xamas, Midhisho, Laanqiciye and Seeraha, Sanaag Region.
   • Lot 2: Erigavo Irrigation Works – Irrigation Infrastructure Development in Hamaas and
   Midhisho, Sanaag Region.
   • Lot 3: El Afweine Soil and Water Conservation Works – Integrated Soil and Water
   Conservation, Gully Rehabilitation and Riverbank Protection Works in Illad-Garood and Bixin,
   Sanaag Region.
   • Lot 4: El Afweine Irrigation Works – Irrigation Infrastructure Development in Illad-Garood and
   Bixin, Sanaag Region.
3. The award of contract(s) will, however, be subject to the availability of full funding.
   3. The Somaliland Development Fund Secretariat now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified
   bidders for the Construction of Storage Tanks and Associated Infrastructure in Burao City, as
   described in detail in the bidding documents.
   4. Bidding will be in accordance with the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in
   the SDF procurement manual, which can be found on the SDF website via the link: SDF3 -
   Procurement Manual.pdf, and is open to all eligible bidders.
