The University of Hargeisa is a chartered public higher education institution located in Hargeisa Somaliland. It was established on 23 October in 2000 with only two faculties. It had been begun with as little as 5 classes composed of less than 150 students. The University now consists of 10 Colleges with more 25 undergraduate programs and a School of graduate studies which now provides 8 postgraduate specializations.
